In order to help more candidates advance toward licensure as Registered Professional Land Surveyors in Texas, The Short Course, Inc., a non-profit corporation established in 2008 by Gary Bowes, RPLS/LSLS and Doug Turner, RPLS, provides assistance to individuals pursuing an education in surveying, as well as those programs offering surveying curriculums.

Hosting seminars and conferences on surveying, with programs for Texas Surveyors by Texas Surveyors, The Short Course provides interesting and exciting continuing education venues for the current generation of surveyors while also helping the next generation.
