It's time to reserve your place for this distinctive two day conference on Texas surveying, to be held in conjunction with a meeting of the Texas Board of Professional Land Surveying. The site for this event is the Hilton Hotel and Conference Center located on the campus of the University of Houston.

Following the morning TBPLS meeting, there will be papers presented Friday afternoon and Saturday morning by these notable surveyors:

Garey Gilley, RPLS/LSLS “Stafford v. King”
Art Osborn, RPLS “The Surveyor in Court”
Nedra Foster, RPLS/LSLS “The Boundaries of Texas”
Davey Edwards, RPLS/LSLS/CFedS “Certified Federal Surveyor Program”
Brian Autio, RPLS “Hurricane Surveying”

Capping off the conference Saturday afternoon will be a discussion of issues facing the surveying profession, during which conference attendees will be given the opportunity to ask questions. Attorney and former Chairman of the TBPLS, James Noble Johnson, will serve as moderator of this distinguished panel:

Ken Gold,RPLS
Darrell Shine,RPLS/LSLS
Garey Giley,RPLS/LSLS
Ben Thomson,RPLS/LSLS

During the Friday evening reception and buffet dinner you will have the opportunity to meet and visit one-on-one with the presenters.  Also, a number of suppliers and vendors have made generous donations in support of this conference, and will be exhibiting during the conference in the lobby adjoining the ballroom.

Although part of the objective for this program is to present a conference reminiscent of the short courses of the past, the ultimate goal for this event is to support surveying students by providing financial assistance. All of the net proceeds from the Short Course will be directed to surveying students within the following academic year.
